Professional Experience:
1. Dr. Zeiad Yossry founded the first specialized center in Egypt and Africa for Parkinson's disease and movement disorders. The Parkinson's Center Egypt is the only center specializing in deep brain stimulation (DBS) implants, the latest surgical procedure used to treat Parkinson's disease.
2. Dr. Zeiad Yossry participated as the chair of the Complex Cases Session at the 17th Quadrennial Meeting of the World Society of Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery in Germany in 2017.
3. Dr. Zeiad Yossry participated as the Functional Session Chair at the 15th Interim Meeting of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies in Rome, 2015.
4. Dr. Zeiad Yossry completed an intensive training course in skull base surgery, “Masters of Skull Base,” that includes lectures and practical training in the Microsurgical Laboratory at the University of South Florida, USA.
5. Dr. Zeiad Yossry was hosted at the Libyan Specialized Center as a neurosurgery expert, providing world-class consultations and surgeries for patients in Libya.
6. Dr. Zeiad Yossry participated in the Deep Brain Stimulation Surgery Academy Course as an international speaker in Turkey and trained neurosurgeons in Turkey and the Middle East, contributing to the transfer of expertise and development of the field abroad.
7. Dr. Zeiad Yossry has participated as a faculty member and coordinator in courses and workshops in stereotactic and functional neurosurgery at Oregon Health and Science University, USA, for five years.
8. Dr. Zeiad Yossry participated in the organizing committee of the first annual Ain Shams University Neurosurgery Department Course.
9. Dr. Zeiad Yossry has led numerous workshops over the past 10 years for surgeons interested in targeted techniques for movement disorders.
10. Dr. Zeiad Yossry has published numerous scientific papers in the most prestigious international and local medical journals specializing in brain, nerve, and spine surgeries.
